Jude 1: 24
“To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore.”
When we watch our children fall, we immediately run to lift them up with care. We are very cautious about their health and welfare. Though we wouldn’t have lived a better life, we desire and strive hard to give our children a better one.
When we care so much about our children, how much more would God watch over and care about us all?
Though you may stumble upon various problems in life, you will not fall, for the Lord upholds you with His hand. He is your Creator; He is your Protector.
He is your Saviour; He is your Father; To Him be all glory and praise.
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
Memorizing was easy in our childhood. But as we grow up, our brain gets tired. Remember, what we memorize in our childhood stays with us until our old age.
Since we are all busy with our day-to-day tasks, we fail to read the Bible everyday and we also don’t have time teach our children about God’s mighty verses. Memorizing at least one verse a day is not that hard. Store each verse a day and you will be an asset of 365 verses, every year. You and your family will be filled with joy, wisdom and peace.
Store the Word of God in your hearts, as much as possible and prepare yourselves to face all tribulations which may come because of the faith and belief you have in God. We all invest our time on various things in our life.
Why don’t we start investing little of our time everyday in reading a verse and burying it deep inside our hearts, to stand firm in God?
Carry a verse everyday in your hearts and those mighty verses will carry you during all good or bad circumstances in your life.
1 Corinthians 3:8
“The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.”
God has given us all various talents and skills. When God blesses someone else with special and spectacular gifts, we should be gracious to appreciate them and learn from them. Since we all serve the Lord, all our gains of our labor will be equal.
Let’s keep ourselves away from unhealthy competitions between each other. Avoid all competitions lead because of envy. Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.
According to each of our hard-work and righteousness, we will be rewarded. If you lack something, learn from others. Do not boast on your own labor instead boast in the Lord, who has given you the strength and courage.
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Satan is very furious nowadays in creating adversity, hardship, tribulations among people, to turn them away from God. Satan attacks on God’s people are many and of various types. Jesus also faced temptations by Satan. The tempter came to Him and said, “If you are the son of God, change the stones to bread; if you are the son of God jump down;” Satan put the same words on some people who watched Him on the cross and they said, “if you are the son of God come down from the Cross”.
The evil one challenges every child of God about his/her child-ship with God. He will put questions in you like, how can a sinner like you be the child of God? If you are the child of God, how can these things happen to you? Such questions will bombard you every day and night.
To overcome the power of Satan, you must constantly remember that you are the child of God and He is your Father. Recall everyday that you have the right to be the child of God because you believe in Him and you have accepted Him in your life. Under any circumstances, God will never let go of His children. He will forever be at your side.
So be strong and stand firm in the truth of His mighty words. He will lead you through any tough battles of the evil and you will conquer and flee the devil in the Name of the Lord.
“Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”
We all love to enjoy prosperity, but when hard times strike us hard, we curse God and blame others. We forget about our integrity with God and fail to realize that all things that God does is for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose.
Remember that trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, danger or sword, nothing should separate us from the love of Christ. God said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
At all times, keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Wait patiently for the Lord. He will lift you out of the slimy pit of troubles, out of the mud of poverty and mire and would set your feet on stability and honor.
