Bible Verse about Blessings:
Malachi 3:10:
“Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.””
Message:
Our God is so open-handed when He blesses everyone. He is not partial; He is not stingy. When you ask Him for something that you desire, He will open the gates of heaven and will pour out His blessing abundantly. Even though you ask little, He will bless you with more than what you had expected. This is God’s promise to you whenever you are in need of any help.
In James 4:2-3, asking God for what one desires does not result in blessing. Instead, our desires are linked with covetousness (and fighting others to get what we want). When we ask God to give us such desires, we ask wrongly, in order to use our “blessings” for our own selfish purposes.
Jesus said it is more blessed to give than receive. Blessed are the merciful (the compassionate, who help those in need), for they shall receive mercy (in the end).
