Strength is more important to perform a difficult task. In fact, it is not just the human strength, it is the strength of God. In all things you do, take courage and remember that God strengthens you, every single day. A strength that throws out your weakness; A strength that boosts you everyday; A strength that never fades away; Here are few Bible verses about Strength which keeps you motivated, encouraged and strengthened in faith.

 

God is your Strength:

Strength and power are God’s blessings. He arms your heart and body with His strength and protects you from every evil. He strengthens you at all times. The strength which God gives you is more stronger that the human strength. Strength and glory is in God’s hands. When you lose your energy, God will send His angels to strengthen you. Here are few Bible verses to remind you that God is your Strength.

  • 1 Chronicles 16:27 “Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.”

Finding your Strength in God:

People find their strength in food, exercise and many other things. Do you find strength in God? As David, we should all find our strength in God, no matter what happens around us. During times of distress, David never gave up. But He found strength in God.

Strengthen your Faith:

Strength is not only required for your body, but also for you soul. When you strengthen your faith in God, nothing can move you from Him. We may face many hardship when we travel in the path God showed us. But, we have to strengthen our faith everyday to overcome them and stay stable.

God is your Salvation and Strength:

Salvation comes along with strength. When you are saved from sin and when God has blessed you with His strength, you need not have to be afraid of anything in this world. His strength will defend you from all evil. God is with you to strengthen you always.

Thanking God for His Strength:

Paul thanked God for giving him the strength. Sometimes we forget that God has given us the strength to do great things. We think that we have done it because of our power and strength. NO. God has given you the strength, wisdom to achieve every single thing in your life. So be thankful to Him. Praise Him for your victories achieve with His strength. Praise the Lord everyday, for His glory and strength showered upon you.

Strengthening the Community:

Being God’s children, you should first strengthen yourself in God. Never stop! You should also strengthen your community and the people around you. When someone loses their hope/faith in God, strengthen their faith and bring them closer to God. Encourage them and build their faith everyday. Teach them and guide them to fear God. Use the word of God to support them and strengthen them. Strengthen the faith of all your brothers and sisters in this community as much as possible. Pray for them, so that they should never go away from God.

Ask God to Strengthen you when you are Weak:

When you become weary, never hesitate to ask God’s help. He is always there to strengthen you and comfort you. When you become weak due to problems, sickness, sorrow or anything that troubles you, ask God to strengthen you. He will bestow His power on you and you will renew your strength. Look unto Him. Ask Him to strengthen you, your family, your friends, ministries, believers and all those you need God’s power. Ask God to forgive your sins, show His mercy and bless you with His strength.

Love the Lord with your Strength:

When you love God, love Him with all your strength. Loving God with all your soul, strength and mind is nothing but, loving God completely without any restrictions. God loves you without any limits, so you too love Him completely.

God’s Speaks about Strength:

In the Bible, God speaks about strength in many places. He has also strengthen many people, places etc. The people of Egypt were saved from the hands of Pharaoh, with the power and strength that God gave to Moses. We also read that God has also withdrawn His power at many instances, because of sin and evil.

  • Ezekiel 30:24 “I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a mortally wounded man.”
  • Ezekiel 30:25 “I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall limp. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he brandishes it against Egypt.”
  • Ezekiel 30:6 “‘This is what the LORD says: “The allies of Egypt will fall and her proud strength will fail. From Migdol to Aswan they will fall by the sword within her, declares the Sovereign LORD.””
  • Ezekiel 33:28 “I will make the land a desolate waste, and her proud strength will come to an end, and the mountains of Israel will become desolate so that no one will cross them.”

God’s Promises about Strength:

Here are a few Bible verses which shows the various promises God has made about strength. If you are blameless and righteous every promise He has made, will come true in your life. Remember these promises and declare them while you pray.

  • Ezekiel 34:16 “I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.”
  • Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Strength of Samson:

Samson was one of the most power men. God blessed Him with so much power but He disobeyed God and God withdrew His power. But when he realized his mistake, He asked God’s forgiveness. God forgave Him and restored him with power.

  • Judges 16:15 “Then she said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when you won’t confide in me? This is the third time you have made a fool of me and haven’t told me the secret of your great strength.”
  • Judges 16:17 “So he told her everything. “No razor has ever been used on my head,” he said, “because I have been a Nazirite dedicated to God from my mother’s womb. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man.””
  • Judges 16:19 “After putting him to sleep on her lap, she called for someone to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. And his strength left him.”
  • Judges 16:28 “Then Samson prayed to the LORD, “Sovereign LORD, remember me. Please, God,strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.””
  • Judges 16:5 “The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.””
  • Judges 16:6 “So Delilah said to Samson, “Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued.”

Strength of David:

We read in the Bible that David was very young to kill Goliath who was so huge and tall. David trusted God and with the power of God, he killed Goliath using a small stone. That reveals God’s power. Do worry that you are too young to do something. With God’s power, you can do the impossible.

  • 1 Samuel 17:45-49 “David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin,but I come against you in the nameof the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.This day the Lord will deliveryou into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. Strength of Gideon:

Another person of who we read in the Bible. God chose Gideon to save the people of Israel.

  • Judges 6:14 “The LORD turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”
  • Judges 7:2 “The LORD said to Gideon, “You have too many men. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’”
