What does the Bible say about being a Good Father

We read in the Bible that, “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4)“. Father’s, it is your goal and responsibility to ensure that your family needs and desires are satisfied, because you are the head of the family. Never fear about your responsibilities and run away from them. It will ruin your family happiness.

There is no wrong in respecting your wife, since she is half of you. If you are a good father, then you will gain respect from your wife as well as from the society. You will be considered unfit in the society, if you are not able to take care of your wife and children . When a child is born and when a Father holds the hand of the child for the first time, the child trusts him completely and believes in him that his/her father will only protect and never let go in times of trouble. So a Father is the first teacher, of the outside world, in the eyes of a child. Being a Father you should teach your child, what is good and what is bad. You should be strict, as well as be a friend to your children.

Few people say that, mother is full and full accountable if child’s ways are wrong. It is completely unfair. It is not only the mother’s job to take care of the children and the family but, Fathers it is also your responsibility. A child which grows without proper love, care and guidance will ruin his/her character, as they grow up with the society. Children would feel that they are left alone and no one is there to care for them. They would then go in wrong ways for pleasure and comfort, which would spoil the entire life of your child.

so, though you are busy with other priority tasks in your life, never forget to spend time with your family. Please give ears to listen to your child’s fun talks, daily events, stories etc. Whatever happens, protect your family. Never fail to provide proper food, clothes and shelter to them. As the Bible says, “By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground (Genesis 3:19)”, do not be an idle man. Since you are the head of the family, you should financially support your family. Work hard and put in your efforts to get a better job which gives you happiness and satisfaction, to keep your family happy.

Know your wife and your children. Be there when they need you. Guide them in their difficulties. As your boss depends on you for the growth of the company, your children depend on you for the growth of their life. Do not be one among the crowd, instead be a good DAD with good characteristics. Set an example for your children.
