We put our trust on many things and think it would support and help us anytime. But how confident are you on them?
There are people who believe this sentence and put in their trust on weapons, riches, words of others people and on their ow understanding. The Bible says in Matthew 26:52 as “All who take the sword will perish by the sword”. If a man builds his trust on weapons, he will also be destroyed with the same weapon but he cannot achieve anything using the trust he had placed on weapons.
Few others trust on the riches they have. They think that the riches will protect them and save them. They believe that with money they can solve all problems and that money will protect them from all danger. They forget about God completely. Bible says in Psalm 49:6-9, “Those who trust in their wealth and boast of their great riches? No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough so that they should live on forever and not see decay.” Such a type of trust will vanish away anytime. When you lose your money then you will also lose your trust along with it.
Few others trust themselves. They think that they are educated, intelligent and knowledgeable. They trust on their own understanding and think that all they do will always turn out right. They take pride that they are capable to do anything without anybody’s help and only trust on their skills and decisions. Bible says that we should not only have trust on our own understanding but should trust in God and then put in our efforts. But do we trust God in first place?
Few others, trust others people’s words and promises. We are very well know that keeping up a promise is very difficult in today’s world. We guarantee someone that the job or a task will definitely be done but situations make us forget our promises made. Not all of us keep up promises and we fail to do what we have promised. Sometimes we trust other people and they take it as an advantage and betray us. No matter if it is a small or huge matter, but if someone cheats us, it hurts a lot. The Bible says that we should not trust in deceptive words and they are worthless. Then on whom and on what we should put in our trust?
There are other set of people who Trust in God in the first place. From the points mentioned above, you would have realized that trust put on several things will go in vain. But if you trust in God your efforts will never go empty. He will bless you according to Psalm 34:8, “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” He will protect you from all danger according to Proverbs 30:5, “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him”. His mercy will be with you according to Psalm 32:10, “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.” He will bless you with riches if you fear ad honor him according to Proverbs 22:4, “Humility is the fear of the LORD; its wages are riches and honor and life.”
Trust in God and start receiving his blessing and protection.
