Bible Verses about Forgiveness

Bible Verse of the Day April 17, 2012

Bible Verse about Forgiveness:

Colossians 3:13

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

Message:

At times, it becomes very difficult to tolerate few people, who always bring in unpleasant situations and cause trouble. Try to bear with them and forgive them. As God forgave us, forgive them and give them a chance to correct their mistakes.

Bible Verse of the Day April 8, 2012

Bible Verse about Loving your Enemy:

Matthew 5:43-45

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

Message:

Being human, we all know that, it is really very difficult to forgive our enemies. But God says, being His children, we should posses His qualities such as forgiving others and loving them . All you can do is, pray to God to change their hearts of hatred and vengeance.

Bible Verse about Forgiveness:

Luke 23:34

“Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.””

Message:

There is no guarantee that, all people around us will only do good to us. Sometimes, they also do things which really hurt us and make us hate them to the extreme. Remember, God forgave everyone, even at the last moment of His suffering on the cross. In reality, it is quite a difficult task to forgive others. But we have received God’s forgiveness, so let us try to forgive others for their wrongdoing.

Bible Verse about Compassion:

Ephesians 4:32

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Message:

Are we united, kind and compassionate with people around us or are we separated because of religion, caste and color? Do we take revenge on others or do we forgive each other? When other people cause divisions among you, remember this verse and never listen to them. We are God’s children and God has only taught us to live with love, compassion and forgiveness. He has not taught us to quarrel and fight. But also remember that, you should not fail to fight for the right.

Bible Verse of the Day March 7, 2012

Bible Verse about Repentance:

Luke 15:10

“I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Message:

We all know that our sins separate us from God. But not many of us realize that, if we truly repentant for all our sins, we can get closer to God. As we read in the Bible about the lost sheep, even if one person turns back from sin, God rejoices. As God made us happy through His blessing, let us repent and turn our life towards God and make Him feel glad.

Bible Verse about Violence:

Proverbs 3:31

“Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways.”

Message:

Wrong deeds done by someone should not be repaid with wrong deeds. Do not choose their way of wrongdoing. Choose the way of forgiveness, as God showed us.

Bible Verse of the Day February 27, 2012

Bible Verse about Confession of Sins:

1 John 1:8-9

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Message:

We behave good to others and can also make others think that we are righteous. We can hide things from human but, we cannot hide it from God.  We may think that God doesn’t know about our secret sins but we only become dishonest with ourselves. If we try to confess our sins to God, He is open-handed to forgive us and purify us from all our sins. Are you ready to confess your sins to Him and enjoy a new life which He is waiting to provide you?

Bible Verse of the Day 11th February

Bible Verse about Forgiving Others:

Matthew 6:14-15

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Message:

God did not expect anything from us.  He forgave us and sacrificed His life, for our life to be a blessing. In the same way, let us not take revenge and hurt others with anger, even if they would have hurt us. Forgive them and let love alone change their harmful thoughts and actions. Let us all walk in the way of God.

Bible Verse about Character of God

Bible Verse of the Day 6th January:

Numbers 14:18

“The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion.”

Message:

When you do something evil and when you get hurt or affected by some other means, you may think that God has punished you. You also would have thought that God is cruel and He is a God of anger and revenge. But, as we read in this verse, our God is a forgiving God. He is always filled with love and affection. He is slow to anger but quick in forgiving you.

Bible Verse about Forgiving others

Bible Verse of the Day 1st November:

Luke 6:37

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

Message:

Many of us do not know that, what we do to others is what we receive from them in return. If you love others, they will love you; if you are stingy, they will also be stingy with you; if you forgive others, you will also be forgiven.
