Bible Verse of the Day March 19, 2012
Bible Verse about being Selfish:
Philippians 2:3-4
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
Message:
It is really a good thing to have an ambition or goal in life. But having an ambition in order to spoil others or destroy their growth is something to be rectified. Never be self-interested and do things for your welfare alone. Give room for other people’s interest and learn to support their thoughts. Live with humility and give respect to each others views.

Bible Verse about Friendship
Bible Verse of the Day 26th October:
Proverbs 27:5-6
“Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.”
Message:
Some people do not know, how to express their emotions but always blame others for misunderstanding them. Learn to express your emotions in the right manner and at the right moment. Anything which is hidden, whatever it may be, love, anger, sorrow or depression will burst out one day and it will be uncontrollable. So speak out open heartedly with each other. When your dear ones hurt you, be happy that you have cooperated with them to express their emotions and thoughts with you. Instead of smiling outside and being cruel inside, it is better for a person to be frank and outspoken.

Bible Verse of the Day 11th October
Job 42:10
“After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”
Message:
Do not be selfish by praying to God, only for yourself. Pray for others too, as Job did. God blessed Job twice as what He had. He will also bless you and multiply your wealth, as much as what you had before. Do not be jealous about others, if they have what you do not have. Instead, pray for yourself and also pray for others to receive God’s blessing.

Bible Verse of the Day 10th September
Psalm 1:1
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.”
Message:
God has blessed you abundantly, from the day you were born. It is in your hands, whether to multiply the blessing or destroy it. Do not accompany with a person, if you think he is forcing you to come along with him through a wrong path. Move away from him to protect your blessing. If you follow him, you will commit sin and move far away from God. Remember, sins blocks your blessings from God.

Bible Verses to Read When Your Friends Fail

Even my close friend, whom I trusted,
he who shared my bread,
has lifted up his heel against me.
But you, O LORD, have mercy on me;
raise me up, that I may repay them.
I know that you are pleased with me,
for my enemy does not triumph over me.
In my integrity you uphold me
and set me in your presence forever.
Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting – Psalm 41:9-13
But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” – Isaiah 49:14-16
So watch yourselves. “If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.” – Luke 17:3-4
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay, ” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good – Romans 12:14-21
