Bible Verse about Helping Others:

Matthew 6:3

When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Message:

When you help someone, who is in need, do not make it publically visible to others. Never consider that opportunity to make others know about your prestige, fame and power. Remember to keep your service as a secret. God who watches you will reward you abundantly, so that you can help few more people.

Luke 6:30

“Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.”

Message:

If anyone asks something which you have abundantly, do not hesitate to give it to them. Remember, God does not take back His blessings from you. So, you too be generous enough and never demand them to give back what you have given.

Proverbs 19:17

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.”

Message:

Instead of helping people who are capable of helping themselves, help the unknown people, who are really struggling hard in their life. You can help a parent who is struggling to pay the fees for his child; You can help someone starving for food in the roadside; You can help someone who needs medical help or any other help that you could actually think of. By lending to the poor, you indirectly contribute to God. So help the needy and you will be rewarded by God in many ways and many forms.

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Message:

God did not ask you to give all of your wealth to the needy and become poor . All He wants you to give is, what you have extra; An extra coat, or an extra meal or an extra pair of shoes, which might be useful for someone who do not have one. The most important thing to be kept in mind, when it comes to generosity is, help the needy but not the lazy. The real happiness you feel while giving, will multiply when God gives you more than what you gave.

James 2:24

“You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.”

Message:

A person does not become righteous only his through faith. But also through the work of his hands and through his good deeds. So become righteous by both faith and action.

Galatians 6:9

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Message:

Are you exhausted in doing good? Do you always appear to be a bad person in front of others? God knows your heart and He will acknowledge you among them at the right time. Never give up in doing good. God is always there to bless and comfort you.

Acts 20:35

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Message:

Do not always expect to receive, when you do not have a heart to give and share. Always help others when they are in need and remember what the Bible says about generosity. Give more, share more and you will receive abundantly from God.
