Bible Verse about Trust

Bible Verse of the Day 2nd January:

Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Message:

Trust is the more important factor which is really very important in a family and with God. If you trust your wife and children, then they will also have trust in you. Your family’s happiness and joy will increase day by day. It works in the same manner with God and you. If you trust God, then He will bless you with joy, peace and hope.

Spirit of the Lord

Isaiah 61:1-2

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

Insight

In this Bible verse, we read about the ministry of Christ which is related to the work of the Holy Spirit – “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me.”

Preach about the good Tidings to the Poor

Jesus was empowered by the spirit and was sent to “preach about the good tidings to the poor.” He refers this to the  gospel of salvation. We read about it in Matthew 9:35, “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages . . . preaching the gospel of the kingdom” and in Matthew 5:3, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”.

Heal the Brokenhearted

Jesus came into this world to “heal the brokenhearted.” People become broken hearted because of so many things such as grief, betrayal, condemnation, failure and much more. Jesus always comforts and restores everyone who trust in Him. We read about this in many places and one example is in Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”

Proclaim Liberty

Jesus was sent to “proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” People nowadays become captivated because of worldly thinking and are bound by bad habits and are kept imprisoned by unclean relationships. Jesus is the great redeemer for all those who cry out unto Him. He is near by to all those who feed upon His mighty words. Hence we read in John 8:32, 36, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free . . . Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Proclaim the Acceptable

And finally, Jesus was sent forth to “proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” This refers to the faith in His beloved Son and the immeasurable spiritual riches. We read about it in Ephesians 1:3, 6, “God . . . has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ . . . to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved”

Everyone can do ministry for God, we are all called for it as said in John 20:21, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you”. Fulfill your calling by the same Holy Spirit who empowered the ministries of Jesus.

Pray for all  ministries that God would empower them through the Holy Spirit, fill them with energy and guide them. Amen.
