In-activeness in any action makes a person Lazy. A Lazy man will never do his work on time, sincerely and accurate. In the world filled with competition, laziness will not help a man to survive happily. There are people who are lazy at times and there are people who are lazy all the time. The Bible says, in Proverbs 20:4, “The sluggard does not plough in the autumn; he will seek at harvest and have nothing”. If you do not work at the right time, you cannot expect anything good in your future.
Do not expect a profit from someone else’s work, if you had not worked for it. You should be able to stay away from your laziness and work for your food. As we read, in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, “If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat”, you must work for your needs. Laziness makes a person weak, incapable, and unpunctual. Postponing your work, late to office, skipping your meals due to lack of time are good examples of laziness. Proper time management will help you to jump out of your laziness.
Through the Bible, God has asked the lazy man to learn a lesson from Proverbs 6:6-11, “Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest”. If an ant can be so much wise and active, why can’t we humans throw our laziness away? Anything put into practice, becomes our habit. In the same way, when we practice to manage our time, we can definitely overcome laziness.
The Bible says, in Deuteronomy 30:9, “The Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands”. Ask God for his support and strength to overcome your laziness and start working. You will surely rejoice in joy and will be crowned with prosperity.
