Bible Verse of the Day January 15, 2013
“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.”
Born poor is not your mistake but living poor is completely your mistake. If you do not work and make money for your living, you will never be happy nor will be able to keep your family happy. You will not be able to provide their needs nor keep them satisfied.
If you do not have enough money, you will obviously borrow money from others and so the lender rules over you. Why should you be a slave to someone else, if you have so much knowledge , skill, talent and wisdom which God has given you? Utilize your talents and put in your efforts. God will make your life prosper and cherished. Work hard to make your money for living but remember to be content with what you have. Money should not make you become greedy.
Bible Verse about Money:
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have.”
Money is really very essential in our lives. We work very hard for that money, in order to feed our children, meet our needs and lead our lives every day. You cannot buy even a tiny little thing without money. So money is really very important. But, that money should only be earned by your hard-work and your effort.
Remember not to be greedy or to pull others legs for your growth. Never be selfish about what others have. Be content and happy with what you have gained, through your hard labor. Money is a fundamental need but make sure that money does not make you greedy and selfish.
“I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away.”
I just want to compare this parable with the rich and poor factor. You can see in this world, that many people strive hard to cross the poverty line and get a financial independence. In this same world, you can also see that the rich get more richer. This difference is mainly because, the poor earn money but spend it without saving or investing it in the right way. They always borrow loan and pay interests throughout their life and have nothing saved for their future. They only run their life on credit.
Whereas the rich, plan and spend their money and save for the future. As a result, their savings make them more richer. So, you can clearly see that, the poor getting poorer and the rich getting richer. Bible says, if you have money or if you invest and save money(even little), God will bless you with more. If you spend money and live only for the moment without proper investment, you will lose everything you have earned and will be in a huge trouble as days pass by.
