The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted.
There are various fields for which people work for. Some jobs are easy and simple and some are tough.
Apart from the jobs we normally do, we also have one additional responsibility. God has created everyone of us for a purpose and has filled everyone with His Spirit. What is it?
To proclaim God’s Word… The word of God is open to everyone and there is no cast or creed to hide the word of God from others. Every human being created by God are His children. It is our duty to spread the word of God to the unknown and comfort them through His mighty verses.
He has created you and me to use the word of God to cheer others, console them and to bind up the brokenhearted. Never hesitate to pick this wonderful opportunity. Rebuild families through God’s word.
Bible Verse of the Day January 15, 2013
“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.”
Born poor is not your mistake but living poor is completely your mistake. If you do not work and make money for your living, you will never be happy nor will be able to keep your family happy. You will not be able to provide their needs nor keep them satisfied.
If you do not have enough money, you will obviously borrow money from others and so the lender rules over you. Why should you be a slave to someone else, if you have so much knowledge , skill, talent and wisdom which God has given you? Utilize your talents and put in your efforts. God will make your life prosper and cherished. Work hard to make your money for living but remember to be content with what you have. Money should not make you become greedy.
Bible Verse about God’s Grace:
2 Corinthians 8:9
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”
We are rich since we all have received God’s grace. We know that God came into this world because He loved us more, than we love Him. Though He was the creator of everything, He was born poor, in order to save us from poverty, sin and sorrow. Remember that, God’s Grace cannot be compared with any other wealth or riches which we may possess in this world.
Bible Verse about Leadership:
Proverbs 31: 8-9
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
When you see/hear bad things happening around you or when people do something wrong to others, never hesitate to speak for the right. Be bold enough, to speak up what is right and point out what went wrong, in an intelligent manner. Correct the oppressor, support the needy and provide justice.
“When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
What a beautiful verse about humility stating that, what your right hand does should not be known to your left hand! Then think, how careful one should be when helping the needy? When you help your friend or neighbor, never expect them to praise you. What God wants is that, you should keep your contributions as a secret. Your secret contributions will then be accredited by God and He will reward you generously.
