Bible Verse of the Day January 30, 2013
1 John 3:21-22
“Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.”
Most of the time, we always like to receive instead of giving. We are in the same mentally, when we pray and ask something from God. Before asking something through our prayer, first of all we should obey His commandments. Second, we should do things which please Him. If you do so, God will fill your hearts with happiness and peace and grant you with all what you ask.
Bible Verse of the Day January 3, 2013
“When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”
When our efforts go in vain, when our plans fail, our only hope is God. We let Him know our needs through our prayers and plead for help. But sometimes, when our prayers go unanswered, we get fed up and we stop going to church, stop going to church and we stop spending time with God.
But have you ever thought, why your prayers are not answered? The first thing you should do before praying, is to set good motives and desire for the things which is pleasing to God and which is to the will of God. So when you ask God, let God’s will be in the first place and only then your desires and needs.
Bible Verse about Unanswered Prayers:
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Many times, we worry about why our prayers are unanswered. Before we pray to God, we should first humble ourselves before Him. We should realize our mistakes and repent for all our sins. If you do so, God will surely hear your prayers and will grant you forgiveness, health and happiness. Pray in the right manner in order to receive God’s blessings.
