Bible Verses about Salvation

Bible Verse of the Day April 29, 2012

Bible Verse about Salvation:

Hebrews 9:27-28

“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

Message:

God came into this world, sacrificed His life for our sins and was resurrected. He will not forget His people, instead, He will come again for us. So wait for the Lord, with holiness and faith. He will come again and will bless you with His eternal salvation.

Bible Verse about Salvation

Bible Verse of the Day 4th November:

Psalm 62:7

“My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge.”

Message:

Do you think that you can receive salvation through your wealth and receive honor through your knowledge? No, you cannot. Your salvation and honor depends on God. Only God can give you eternal salvation and honor. Rely on Him, because God is your mighty rock and He alone is your refuge, at all times.

Bible Verse of the Day 3rd June

Psalm 91:15-16

“He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Bible Verse of the Day 24th April

Matthew 7:13-14

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Message:

The world has a wide gate and a narrow gate. If you wish to travel through the wide gate, you will easily commit sin and lead towards destruction. But the way to righteousness and life is narrow. Ask God to guide you through the narrow way in order to live a life without sin and lead a moral life.

What is Salvation and Why Do I Need to Saved?

SalvationDefinition of salvation:

Restoration of our relationship with God through God’s actions of reconciliation so that we can be assured of God’s love and care now and beyond death. Christianity regards salvation as deliverance from bondage to sin and condemnation.

“As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one; ..” – Romans 3:10

“.. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ..” – Romans 3:23

“Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned..” – Romans 5:12

The truth is that sin, as defined in the original translations of the Bible, means “to miss the mark.” The mark, in this case, is the standard of perfection established by God and evidenced by Jesus. Viewed in that light, it is clear that we are all sinners.

A lot of people have problems at this point. We tend to want to compare our life with others we know. We want to make sure everyone understands all the good works we have done. “Hey, I’m a nice person!”, we often say. None of that matters. The verses do not say we come short of the glory of man … the verses tell us we come short of the glory of God. As Christians, the standard we measure ourselves against is Jesus Christ, and no one measures up. But God knows that, He created us, and He loves us and he put in place a solution for this problem.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
